Right away after the ICC world cup 2015, Pakistan and Bangladesh have got a chance to come face to face in the ODI series on 17th April, 2015 in Sher-e-Bangla Stadium (Mirpur Stadium) located at Dhaka, Bangladesh. Both the teams didn’t play any match in the ICC world cup 2015 together. Now Pakistan and Bangladesh have got a great chance to prove who could have beaten who.
This
ODI series was supposed to be held in the month of January but unfortunately it
postponed due to the ICC World Cup 2015. This series then was postponed by Bangladesh
Cricket Board and rescheduled on the request of Pakistan Cricket Board on April
2015.
Although,
it was decided that there will be 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches before the event of
World Cup.
This
ODI series will be of 3 days. The 1st match will be on 17th
of April 2015, 2nd match on 19th April and 3rd
match will be on 22nd April.
As Pakistan
Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan announced Azhar Ali to be the captain
from Pakistan for ODI. Azhar Ali was not active on the ground with Pakistani
Team for 2 years but chairman PCB considered this young player for the
captaincy judging his good performance in the Pentangular Cup. Mashrafe Mortaza
will play as captain from Bangladesh for ODI.
If
we see the statistic of Pakistan Vs Bangladesh ODI series there are total 32
matches that were played and Bangladesh has only defeated Pakistan once in 31st
May 1999. Bangladesh has never won any match against Pakistan in T20 series nor
in test series.
Bangladesh
Team must be vigilant to win this series because it’s time to make better
performance. The eyes of Bangladesh are on the Team and expectations are high
on the sky.
